Apparently there are more verses, and it was actually a road safety song, but these are the only two verses I ever remember singing. Tried to find an audio version, but no can do.
Yes, it was a road safety song on the ABC morning kids program (7.30am I think) in Brisbane in the early 1950's.
ReplyDeleteI can remember all the stuff that you have. There was at least one more verse but the final line was:
"Hold up your umbrella when you cross the street"
I think the ABC adapted it from, what I think was, the original by adding a couple of lines. See

Yes i now it as one rainy morning with just 2 verses i now have taught it to my grand daughters! !
